My Trailer has carlisle sts 215/75D14 tires. It's time for 2 more. The fronts wore pretty un evenly. I was wondering what are people's thought on the Raidail Vs Bias-Ply the tires I have right now are Bias-Ply

Radial tires are the only way to go, I tow 9 different trailers from 3k up to 14k and I wouldn't use bias as a spare. I've been partial to Goodyear for quite some time but I used Carlisle radials on my skidloader trailer without any issues. A little bit of research and I'm sure you'll find what you need. Last thing you want is a blow out and toon damage!

Last thing you want is any Chinese ST tire on any trailer--and that especially goes with Goodyear Marathons.

I'd go with Maxxis M8008's.  Presently, no ST tire is being manufactured in North America.

I'd spend the extra cash and go radial. Not only a way better tire, you might have a problem finding a bias ply quickly if you do have a blow-out. Around where I live, they don't carry them in stock; you have to order so it could potentially leave you sitting on the side of the road for an extended period.

If you didn't know, you can use a ratchet strap to hold up an axle to run on one tire, after you've removed the flat tire.  I have the front of my boat strapped to the trailer so I have two extra straps, just in case.  Also, AAA RV plus, still won't get your boat towed.

I guess I'm missing somthing here. The Maxiss M8008 is listed as a ST tire,

what is a "ST tire" or what does the ST represent?  The Maxiss tires are Raidial's I thought the ST was some how a way of pointing out a Bias-ply ? Does it stand for

(standard trailer) ?

The stiffer sidewalls and higher operating pressures common with Special Trailer (ST) designated tires help reduce trailer sway.

I traded all of my 33' fifth wheel tires for LT, load range E. I got tired of those expensive ST tires blowing out on the highway (always ran the appropriate pressures), but after reading about many other camper folks making the switch to the LT, it made perfect sense to me. I went with the Firestone brand. My reasoning for Firestone was that after the huge issue they had several years ago, and with the huge lawsuits, I figured they didn't want any more of that so would really tighten down on the product quality.

I have read that the ST stands for Special Trailer tires.  ST tires are allegedly constructed of heavier duty materials to compensate for less sophisticated suspensions on trailers and to enable more weight carrying but all are speed rated for 65 mph.
