Hello Everyone!
Been a busy time since the last time I posted, but wanted to give you an update. Last time I was here I was asking about suggestions for a cover for trailering the boat, which many of you did offer suggestions and was very much appreciated. However, we ran out of time to have one made so decided to take others suggestions to not use a cover at all & go for it. No problems and everything went pretty good for the over 700 mile trip. The biggest hassle was finding the gas stations that could accommodate maneuvering the boat, trailer, & truck. I had researched the truck stops before the trip & had my list, but unfortunately there were some tight & impossible situations that didn't work out. But all and all everything went good!
We were taking our boat from TN to TX to our retirement property located on the lake to leave for the winter. Our boat house had just been finished right before Thanksgiving. The weather was terrible, so we didn't even get to take it out. So last week we took off and went back and the weather was in the 70s! Boy were we blessed that week, it was beautiful! The boat got to go out and we enjoyed our time on the lake! Then we cleaned it up, put the cover back on and sadly had to say goodbye until April, when we will go back!
Below are some photos! We just had some trees cut down that would be a threat of damage to the boat house in case of high winds & also had a "spider" control system installed. So next thing up will be building our retirement home, which will be located on the property behind the boat house.
Hope this finds everyone ready for a great boating season! Come on Spring!
