Xmas gifts

Just slightly north of $100 bucks (~$150) is a new anchor.

We went with a box anchor as we have a mud bottom and let me tell you, this thing holds like no other!! Well worth the money and piece of mind of not having to worry about your boat moving if anchored.

Also, get yourself some halfway decent ropes - not the bungee ones!!!! Actual real ropes - my boat is smokey granite so I went with these but any polyester ropes are going to be better than the crap ones I assume the dealer gave you.

Not really. I start with 4+ star reviews on Amazon, capacity, then price. Mine was Anker brand but there’s so many names now. Anker makes a lot of electric stuff. I just looked, got it Nov 24, 2015.
Thx if I'm unable to get a refund I'll just get another one to use for a year.....

I ordered these custom from Yeti, has my boats name. Also had some large cups ordered.
They look great! Not sure if they are going to fit in the cupholders though. Our Yeti's have the smaller base and they barely fit and doesn't sit in it very well. Hopefully I'm wrong!

Ordered a Loftek 1000 amp lithium jump pack yesterday. Big Black Friday sale.......$49! Free shipping.

For those owners that do not have a glove box, the yeti sidekick is a great accessory for personal items and you can attach it to the side rail. 50.00 when you can find it. Dick’s sporting goods has them now. Just use a couple of railing style fender hangers.

AuthorizedUser also posting a pic of his using the Taylor made clips
What size did you use? Comes in three sizes, 1, 3 , 6 liter

They didn’t used to make multiple sizes back when this post was made. The one in the post was discontinued a few years ago. Mine is up at our lakehouse put away with other boating gear for the winter, so I cannot measure.

However, based on memory, my pictures, and thinking about dimensions on the Yeti website of the new ones, I think the 3L is the the closest size to the ones some of us started using back in 2019 and 2020 along with Taylor Made clips to hold it to the rail. I still use mine today and it’s great on the boat.

Thanks for the info

Hello. I believe it’s 3L. I keep sunglasses, sanitizers, keys, lens wipes, bandaids etc. in it.
There is something to add to this old thread. My wife bought me this stainless steel boat ancho for my birthday. We usually get away with just using the powerpole, which is a must have option for us on the bayside and beaches in the Ft. Myers

Very interested in how this works for you, please report back after a few uses, especially in a bit of wind. I have the Small and Large Box Anchor by SlideAnchor - at 19 and 26 lbs they certainly require effort to use! The "Small" holds in most circumstances, but when the wind kicks up (even a light breeze) the Large Box is needed. We anchor in coves, so typical anchors that require a 5:1+ rode scope don't work, don't have the space (I am generally at 2:1 or less). The idea of a 12lb anchor is appealing! I noted the company web site suggests this Anchor needs a 2:1 ratio, a Stuart Bozeman review said he had to add 12' of chain for his 23' Bennington, but a lot of very positive reviews. Keep us posted - Happy Tooning!
