I built a 21sl with SPS/150HP for a great price. I did this because I noticed the SLX is much more expensive. My dealer says the only difference between the 21SL and the 21SLX is "curved seating." Does anyone have anything else to point out?

Ok. I'm going to go with the 21sl with extended aft and use the savings to get power assist. Thanks again.

While we're on engines. I notice I have 3 options for the 150. Should I order the 150 regular Yamaha or the 150 vmax SHO?

The power assist is worth it on a 150?

I notice the max engine on the 22ss is 175/200 vs only 150HP on the 21sl Granted I'm only doing the 150 no matter what. So a mute point maybe.

Regular 8'6" s-series for both. Either ss or sl. Not the sx, which is a step up from the s-series.

Here are my specs. Ignore the fact that the 22ss has power assist and the other doesn't. As this is an option I can put on either.

Yeah, in finding the yams tend to be packaged with the Benny's. Spoke to a dealer today who said he absolutely favors the Yamahas as well. So I am definitely leaning that way now.

Seems to be overwhelming toward the SPS still. Both on this thread, and the others older ones I've dug up from 3 and 4 years ago. Surprised my dealer says 90% of sales are ellipticals. For those who favor the SPS, did you have a chance to take the twin Ellipticals for a spin?

Thanks for the replies. Do you Think I can get into an S series SPS/150 for upper 30k's? My dealer was pushing the twin ellipticals because they are cheaper. He also says he sells them 9/10 times. Which I found surprising. Said an S22 with SPS/150 would be tough at the upper 30k / 40k price...
