As the 2016 boating season winds down, post your favorite photo here!

You guys did fine getting in and out of the docks.  It took us half the first season to really get the hang of getting back into our dock at river run.  It just takes a little time to get used to how your boat handles at slow speed,,,,,don't be afraid to back up and try it again if something doesn't look right.

The anchoring part is a bit tougher.  What kind of anchors do you have and where are you trying to anchor up?

What works for us when it comes to anchoring up.

Sandbar = pvc screw in sand anchor works best (can be made for less than $20) or the danforth (a little tricky to get set sometimes)

Lake in general = danforth or navy anchor with a small mushroom of the stern to control sway.

Ares, I use the box anchor, some call it a slide anchor and I love it.  I don't have to worry about going through the setting process I just toss it overboard and tie it off.  I bought the "small" size and it is appropriate.  Others have bought the small for the bow and use the "baby" size for the stern to keep the boat from drifting

I have the danforth or fluke and a screw in anchor. It's the danforth I seem to have troubles setting. Whenever we stop at one of the swim areas I seem to spend most of my time keeping the boat from drifting.

Thanks for the suggestions. I know the danforth should work, it's probably just me. May look into the box anchor.
