Blinded by the steering wheel on bright sunny days

Does anyone have a solution to the blinding flashes of sunlight that reflect off of the shiny chrome in the center of the steering wheel?

Piece of painters tape... No residual when you pull it off...

Polarized glasses. Tilt the wheel? 1000 grit sandpaper and a can of clear coat and make it a brushed aluminum piece.
