I was just going through the Overtons Catalog and on Amazon .

Overtons has a sale on Fender Covers .

Does anyone use them ?

If so ,does it  still rub a spot on the shark hide ? What material are yours made of ?

I have seen several different materials .

I used them on a big 43'er I owned a while back. They don't do much on a smaller boat. They still make rub marks anywhere that an uncovered fender does. They are very popular on big boats with sleeping quarters, as when the docked-boat is rubbing on the fenders from an onside or quartering wind, the fenders don't squeak. Particularly beneficial at night. Fender covers make fenders quieter inside a boat's cabin. Beyond that, I think it's just color. Red boat, owner wants red fenders - fender covers. Yellow boat, yellow fenders.

I ordered a pair from amazon earlier , 20 bucks no big deal .

At least they will keep my fenders clean .

Thanks

Ha, ha.  I got one.  By mistake.  Thought I was getting a GREAT deal on a 6.5 inch fender!!!  Turns out it was a fender COVER.   That's what you get for not reading EVERY word in an ebay listing.
