Just came across the Dealer quote for my old Pontoon from 1991 and thought I would share it with you.

I bought it New. It wasn't a Bennington but a Harris.

24 foot with a 9.9 Yamaha ..... talk about a dog.

Forward and Neutral went about the same speed.

And I was paying 99 cents/gallon for gas in Tucson !! LOL !!! Oh how times have changed !!!

I still have my 1985 Starcraft pontoon boat purchased for $2400 from Mercury Marine Acceptance--repo'd with the 25 hp engine missing. That was 27 years ago.

My 1985 Yamaha 115 hp 2 stroke was traded in on a 150 hp, and I bought it 3 mos. old for $3500.

After rigging, I have $6,250 in it. And it's still a good boat, except for the bad lower unit.

Take care of a pontoon boat, and you can pass it on to your grandson. That's value. You cannot often say the same for a I/O fiberglass boat.
