Exactly the same for me.  I put the moth balls in a tin can, and put that can and damp rid in a plastic bin.  I have 2 of those set up, and spread the sheets around.  No issues.  
 
All this talk about moth balls. How do you get their little legs apart?

Another little something that keeps the dampness to a minimum, thus keeping the mildew at bay, is a bucket half filled with charcoal. That absorbs the moisture and keeps associated problems low.
