Lift is floating with new boards

take a router and extream round over bit on the inside edges of the 2 x 4 that should do it

Great idea, however took the off and moved to the bottom and added a brace in between the I-Beam and 2x4 on the bottom..you idea would have been a lot easier..I appreciate the feed back.

I had to put weights (pavers tied to lift frame) to keep tension on the lift cables. When the lift was down far enough to float the tritoon off, the tension was off the cables, and when lifting the lift up the cables wouldn't wind onto the overhead rod straight. By putting the weight on the lift undercarriage it stopped the problem.

Ya..ended up adding steel plates to the I-Beams.. it sinks now with the extra 500lbs of weight. Thx goodness my lift is rated for 8000
