We were finally able to get the boat out of the barn, planning to get her cleaned up and go boating Sunday. Put the muffs to it to start the engine and the battery was dead (wouldn't take a charge). Guess a new battery is in our future.

I would have thought a battery would last more than 9 years. ;) :)

I'm thinking of going with the same brand it says "Walleye-1" but I'm not sure if that is the manufacturer or what it is.

Unless someone else has a good recommendation.

I've never had a marine battery die in my 12 years of boating........I just buy a new boat every 3 years!

Gee Randy, I think you should have gotten couple more years out of it. :p Ours is 6 years old.

Hmmm...A new boat? I wonder how that will go over.

Honey, the battery is dead on the boat, we need a new one.

A new battery?

No, A new boat. :D lol

I love your train of thought here.
I was just thinking if your lucky she won't say "a new battery?" and just say, "well go buy one" that way when you come home with a new boat and she starts yelling, you can just say "but you told me to!" cuz we always listen to our wives! (put that last part in just in case my wife ever reads this forum!)

Too funny!

Woo Hoo...We bought a new one and were out on the lake today. :)

...and no, it wasn't a new boat. :p
