This begs the question...What is the purpose for the aluminum stern eyes? Seems they're as worthless as a receiver hitch on a Chevy?

Hi, From what I understand they are used to move the pontoons into position for assembly of the boat. It looks like you can pick up the front pontoons straight up. They cannot be bent to the side. The rear eyes are welded on to the thin metal of the pontoon and cannot be used for lifting.
