Ok. Now I am getting exited. I finally get my new boat on Friday. Question do most Bennington owners use the typical round fenders or are the 2 sided flatter fenders preferred? I only have 6-7 inches total room to spare. The dock is 9 ft wide. Any suggestions? My boat is a 22SSRX

I used the round 8.5.

I use both ,I have 24 X 4 X 2.5 that are attached permanently to my mooing posts

and the 27 x 8.5

Not really a good pic of it

Thanks Jack, time to upgrade for the start of the season

I can take more ( and better ) pics if needed ,let me know

I am looking into a solution right not for bumpers because i've noticed some wearing they are putting on my boat, and just last night after only a week in the water i have some "bumper burn" on my freshly polished / sharkhided pontoons!!!  check this pick, you'll see a 2" whiteish burn... i'm soo mad.  I should have a follow up for everyone on my solution for this after this weekend...

It's hard to tell whats going on in that picture because the pontoons are mirrors now, but I have the dock post glide bumpers slightly above the water line and go a foot down, then I put a standard 8" bumper hanging off of my mooring line to keep the pontton off the dock and posts...  that burn is from the round 8" bumper.  I have a much larger one on the front, but the picture didn't turn out.

I noticed on mine that they  also wear on the Sharkhide

I noticed on mine that they  also wear on the Sharkhide

I was searching for a solution to this and stumbled onto an interesting product that I think may be the answer... I'm working on a getting a sample and will post a follow up on how it performs... having wear like this could also expose the pontoon to oxidation at this point... I will try to reapply sharkhide to that part while in the water.

do you think i'll need to polish that spot out again, or is that superficial and the new sharkhide will "melt" it away?

I have the square flat ones,  friends of ours use the round ones on their 19' Bow Rider.  I don't really use them much except when we are tying to another boat.  The round ones give more clearance though.
