Why is the hydraulic steering harder to turn left?

I was told this, and have experienced it but wasn't really old why so I'm curious. Wouldn't it be better to make it easier to turn left since that's the more natural turn to make? I have the seastar on a 150hp.

I "think" it has something to do with the rotation of the prop. Some expert will chime in shortly.

Yup I agreee. I have a 150 with seastar hydraulic and power steering. I notice very little difference turning either way. Life is much easier with power steering, your dealor can add it. Some on this forum have installed it themselves.

If your trim is dialed in, it should steer the same difficulty either way. You can experiment with that some if it bugs you enough.

I have cable steering with a 150, and it bugs me enough.
