Extra people will bring your RPM's down. Were you playing with your trim at all? A lot of times you get people loading the boat front/back heavy and you need to trim the nose cones further out of the water than you would typically do.

I checked the Bennington site at Hull weights. His and the 2550 GSRB weigh within 50 pounds of each other. This boat is loaded with extras such as two bow filler seats, as well as other things. So maybe 300 pounds more?

Check out your local independent propeller shop. I have a local place that sells Solas props that are very reasonable. Would definitely work as a stop gap.
