First time post. Thanks for having me in the group. I’m looking at a 24 ft or so R series Bennington. It has a beautiful 300 hp outboard on it. My question is: Do you think it is too much weight on the back of a 24 footer and causes the back of the toons to sit low in the water. Just looks a little odd to me. Wondering if others have thoughts on this? Thank you in advance.

I have a 2018 23 RSFB with a 300 on it, and it doesn’t sit nearly as low in the rear as the one pictured in that last post. Only about 50% of the pontoon is submerged in the rear on mine.

I think 6-8 inches are out. I’m good with it as long as there’s no known issue with it. Thanks for the help.

Here is my R23 which is 25 feet of deck with a 300HP Yamaha. I think it looks fine. You don’t even notice lower back end.

Yes. Unbelievable torque. I have owned many boats (sea ray 340 sundancer, sea ray 270 slx, Harris Crowne, Bennington 2375 gcw arch and others) but this QX25 is my favorite so far.

As a point of information, how fast will the Q and a 300 Yamaha run on top end?
I get 47 and occasional 48 out of R23 with Yamaha 300. Q might get another MPH or two with curved front. Most tests I have seen have it around where I am at.

I like the low in the water look. View attachment 25374
Hi there, I am a brand new Bennington owner as of this week. Bought a 25qsbwa largely in part to what I learned on this forum from Bennington owners such as yourself. Living in Montana I’m going to have to wait an agonizingly long 3 1/2 months before I can get her in the water. I have to say, of all the 1000’s of boats I have looked at online...you have the sharpest Bennington I’ve seen. Gorgeous boat!

Semper, you beat me to it with the sandbag joke!

1trotter, YIKES, that doesn't look right at all. The rear of the toons look nearly completely submerged. Are you certain there's no water in there? What about a heavy item that fell off the rear with a cable attached to it that you didn't see . . . like a Bobcat or skid steer or Chevrolet Malibu?
