The mounting plate is flush mounted and direction of poles easily spaced. Two thumb screws remove the rod tree from the base for stowing. Looks sweet, hope it works as good as it looks!

any good fishing stories using the rod tree? Very interested in pictures of where you have the mounting plate. Tighten the screws up good, including the one that holds the tube to the clamp. I lost one on a very calm lake, vibrated off. I still have the clamp which was plenty tight to the bar, but I lost the tube. I think it is only one screw and you have to tighten it before you clamp them on.For those of you who have a ski bar, I purchased these stainless steel rod holders on Amazon.
$80.00 for all 4 . They seem like a quality rod holder.
