Dumb Question but what portable can is everyone using? I tried using my 5 gallon no spill cans and it was VERY difficult. Worked fine on my last boat but with the fuel cap on the side (and no slip access on the port side as well), and the push button, it was a 2-person job, and still didn’t work well.

Here’s what I am currently using:
No-Spill 1450 5-Gallon Poly Gas Can (CARB Compliant) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000W9JN4S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_5vkVCb66C9V5K

I use a Super Siphon

+2 on the super siphon. I added a hose barb fitting on the end and put a fillrite gas nozzle on it. It gives me the ability to stop the flow of gas faster.

I use a race jug with mini funnel.

+1 also on the super siphon.

+1 on Super Siphon - works great, I find the no spill spout creates way more problems than it solves

Super siphon for the win. I just set the can on top of a towel, on top of the seat, sit there, and let the siphon do all the work. Don't lose a drop.

Another vote for the super siphon. I have tried several other methods and this has worked best for me. I also place a towel on the seat. I have good old fashioned metal gas cans. Empties a 5 gallon can in a couple minutes. I can take several cans with this one siphon. This year I am also going to try and use it to siphon out the old fuel. Hope it works. We'll see.

Not sure this would be of interest for those that fill up with gas cans dockside. I had seen it a long time ago. It a dock post mounted container and hose to simplify refueling. You have to pour the fuel into it, but you can do that standing at a normal height. You then insert the hose into the boat, and flip the on/off lever to open up the fuel line and fill up. It supposedly fills 5 gallons in 90 seconds.

It will make sense of you open the link. Since we marina fill up only on our lake, I have never had to deal with it personally. Pull up, pay. + tip, and chat with the gas girl is about the extend of my fueling routine.

I smiled when I saw this link. Cory Schuab launched this company and has property and they boat on our lake outside Traverse City. Does multiple products now, including pontoon diving boards.

What size super siphon do you all use? I think the tubes come in different diameters.
I didn’t realize there were different diameter hoses. I’d like to know what is available as I probably have a large size, and that has cause me an issue in that I get backflow and gas pouring into the lake with the super siphon I have.
