I have never carried a pistol in my life. As a matter of fact, I've never pulled the trigger on one. But I did have a 357 mag in the drawer beside my bed for several years before I sold it for about twice what I paid for it. I bought it from a police officer working parttime at a gun shop. I wanted something small, but he said be sure and buy something that will kill an intruder in their steps. And if I shot them outside, to drag them in the house. I remember taking it to a gun show to sell, and a guy stopped me in the parking lot getting out of my car. Wanted to know what I had, and I showed it to him. Smith and Wesson 357 Mag never fired. He asked what I wanted for it, and I told him. He said it's worth more than that and handed me an extra $300. I've never forgotten that. Now if you want to talk about hunting guns, I've got more than a few. Bought a Browning Lite 12 shotgun in 1974 for $300, and never shot it. Sold it to a dealer several years ago for $1500. Good investment as most guns are. Ha !

Yeah that drag them inside doesn’t cut it in this day and age, plus you’d end up with more charges than letting them lay in the yard …

Some States don't even require them be inside. Mississippi is one of those that I know an interesting story about. Old man shot thru his front door when hearing somebody beating on his door. The noise stopped. He went to bed. Next morning someone called him asking if he knew there was a man laying on his porch. He had killed him. Turns out he was one of the most wanted men in Mississippi. Happened while I was down there on business.

My dad was into cowboy shooting. He bought a matching pair of Ruger Single six's with pearl grips but unfortunately never had a chance to shoot them before he passed. I've been struggling for 11 years now if I should shoot them or just leave them for my son and daughter. My wife has her CPL and loves her S&W M&P 2.0 Performance center ported barrel and slide. Makes my Smith 5906 stainless look like a kids gun :)

I also had a another mid life crisis and when OOW (Ohio Ordnance Works) offered their M1918 A3 BAR in semi auto, I had to jump on it. Hasn't been available in years. Shipping is end of August. Can't wait. I've been using a buddies for our WWII re-enactments while my son uses our M1 Garand and I can finally say I have one of my own.

I know you're dying to shoot those Rugers! Pretty cool! I shot a 5906 back in the 90's when they were relatively new. Solid but heavy weapon!

You're correct. I am dying to shoot the. Still have his leather holsters as well. Would have to "modify" them a bit as I have a slightly smaller waste. hahaha
Yes, the 5906 is a tank. Old technology for sure

But I bet it'll still get the job done! I've always wanted a stainless weapon. But never got one!

Cars are one of my “hobbies”. Picking up a used CTS coupe possibly this weekend. Bummer it’s not the CTS-V model but I don’t want to spend that kind of $$$ nor need hefty speeding fines. This will do me fine. I’ve always loved this body style.
A pontoon and a Caddy …. I’ve officially turned into my parents. :p

Well then, your parents are apparently pretty darn cool people.

The John Deere X739. 4 wheel drive, 4 wheel steer. I use it to mow my half acre shop lot. Also have a bucket for it that comes in handy.
With front receiver I use it to move dump trailer and jet skis.

Nice car Semp! Same here ..... a pontoon boat and a Caddy!!! (XTS) Officially old!

Has the touch screen on your XTS gone bad yet. Ours has delaminated and doesn't work and now the flashers turn on by themselves while parked. Great car otherwise.

Nope. My wife's XTS is 4 yrs old now and just out of warranty. It's like brand new condition. The only thing I've had to do is change the battery. She wants an XT5 or XT6 next...
