Will this winter ever end? I have a new Benny to enjoy!!

Boat will be delivered in less than 48 hours!! And it is calling for a chance of rain Saturday and a high of upper 40's on Sunday.

At least yours is only rain ,they are calling for snow ( flurries ) for us on Sunday .

I still have 3 weeks to go ,get the lousy weather over now .

Just saw the weather report  .Lake effect snow forecast for Saturday night into Sunday morning .

I thought we would be in clear with the nice weather lately but it appears mother nature is starting another cycle...

The docks are in. The dam is fixed. The lake is up 20' and they are going to raise it another 20' this spring. We are putting the boat in Saturday morning after I replace the starboard lifting ram on the outdrive and put the plug in. 60's with a chance of thunderstorms.

Our docks are going in a little late this year, May 18. However the seadoo is going in Saturday and that works for me until I get the Benny :)

Hang in there Andy, soon enough man. I don't know whats worse, waiting for it to arrive, or the weather being cold and raining and not able to use it while it sits in my driveway. Either way Michigan sucks!

It has been beautiful until now. I guess it will be at home on the lift instead of on the gravel!!

Very true.

It sure isn't ending today .There is snow in the air .

Still a 3 week wait until delivery .

Went to the dealer yesterday . Told him to forget about the tour .My wife and I both received jury duty notices .

Here is what happened yesterday at Dauphin Lake,

Take a look at the pics. This isn't the lake we boat on because it is pretty shallow and there are random sand bars everywhere. You can be a mile off shore and stand up and the water will be to your waist. Plus it's pretty dirty since it's so shallow. The part that ducks for these people is a lot of them got flooded out 2 years ago, and now this. Everyone wanted the ice off the Lake, but this isn't the way.

I have seen ice damage before ,but never to that extent .

Yeah it's pretty nasty. Luckily no one was injured from what I understand, but wow, how do you clean a 29 foot iceberg off your patio? You could use a roofers torch(for doing the tar) but you'd have to start at the top of it so you didn't off weight the iceberg and it crashes THROUGH your house! Not sure how they would get any heavy machinery out there. Just crazy.

The article DID say no one was injured .

Hehe, jsfb6pts all those times we said "I like to read the articles!" were lies, we were all just looking at the pictures!! Haha! A couple firefighter buddies had posted pics and said there were no injuries.

Normally ,I would have just looked at the pictures ,but since I had seen ice damage before I actually read it too . :D

Here is the part ,

"Another 14 homes suffered extensive damage, with some structures knocked off their foundations.

No one was injured."

That is some crazy ice for sure. Luckily for me, 2 hours and the boat will be here at the dock!!!!

That's one of the weirdest things I've ever seen. Seen ice jambs on the river many times, but never seen ice blown ashore.

We like to do things a little differently up here in Canada!! I'm just amazed since the lake is that shallow that it would do that. The worst thing is most if not all have no insurance coverage for things like this. Something to do with because of where they are built. The stupid thing is that before the big flood a couple years back, there were never any issues out there!
