Winter has arrived in Northern Michigan

As much as I hate snow, that's an awesome pic !!!!
 
I've been through there in the summer - it's beautiful then. Different but just as wonderful in that picture. We can't wait for summer but do like winter also.

If you ever get the opportunity ,go in the fall for the color tour .
 
Now they say, an Inch an Hour once it starts later today .

We plan on doing that! Just haven't taken the time yet. We usually go up the Leelanau from Traverse.

Traverse City is about 2 hours south of us down 31  .We are 35 miles south of the Mackinac Bridge, 18 miles  west of I-75 
 
Are those directions as the crow flies? Makes a big difference!

The 2 hour ride is why we don't get up that way often. We already drove almost 4 hours to get to our place in TC.
 
We built this place about 3 yrs before we retired ,came up from the Sterling Heights area every weekend for those 3 years . I hate those drives now .
 
It is finally above freezing here. Doing a quick drain, clean, refill on the hot tub. Too bad it getting back into the 20's this weekend.

Drained, cleaned and refilled the hot tub back in December right before Christmas. We can go about 90 days before having to do it again depending on usage. Shocking is the key. It gets rid of the excess body oils, deodorant, etc. etc......
 
Once I get done with work for the evening we're jumping in. Too bad everyone and their brother is filing ice dam claims right now and I'm working around the clock.

Eww, hot tubs are gross. Naked human stew. I call the tub at my health club the ABC soup. I'll let you guess what that stands for.
 
Ha ha ha.  That is pretty funny.  But, I suppose you don't get in the lake either then.  There's a lot more nastier stuff in a lake.  And no chlorine.

Sounds like a nasty place. My wife and I are the only ones in ours 99.9% of the time. She always removes her makeup, lotions etc.
