Winter has arrived in Northern Michigan

Here is some more depressing news, the days start getting shorter in less than 4 months and we start the shift back to this crap.

There is one more good thing about being Up North ,daylight is longer .The sun may have set, but it is light until after 10 pm

This was last updated 1/31/14 ,there is almost a month of snow fall not included .

Uhh we were -49C with the wind the other day, and I have snow level with the front step of my house. Don't talk to me about NEXT winter on its way!! Haha I'm supposed to go help at my dealers boat show tomorrow and the weekend, might be a nasty 3 1/2-4 hour drive if this wind keeps up!

It is light almost to 10pm in the summer. Perks of being at the western edge of EST. Just getting depressed thinking winter will never end.

2nd snowiest winter down here as well. I like breaking records, but let's do it on the warmer side of the thermometer this time of year!

Just saw the long range forecast for the  Petoskey Mi area for this winter .

Noaa ,through the local paper ,calls for early snow ,but not as much, for the season. Colder temperatures all season long .

Our average snowfall is 160 inches ,by less  could they be saying 150 ?

Carl ,enjoy your cruise .

We lucked out this am. They were thinking 8-12", possibly even 16" ..... We got 2-3. Whew ..... Dodged that bullet !!!

Will this crap ever break? I've noticed the sun is starting to do its part though. Even though it was 11 here today the snow was melting off the roof and sidewalk.

The weather man just said that the worst of the winter in over .Warm starts Tuesday ,should be up to normal by the 15th and stay there . :D

We had 70 yesterday and now it's 30, going down to 21 tonight. I'm tired.
