Ice Watch

At least the grass is already green!

We have no ice or snow left in Southwest OH.  Yesterday, I drove to Mansfield to pick up the new trailer.  It's 2.5 hours north of us.  It was 15 degrees colder and the lake was 100% ice covered and 5' above the summer pool.

You folks have my sympathy. I could not live in that weather. If I tried, all my comments would be the ramblings of a misanthropic dipsomaniac.

Cheers, Steve

There is a stone wall running along the driveway that faces south.  The stones have collected enough sun to actually melt the snow from the flowerbed above it.  Believe it or not, the daffodils are poking through about 1/2".  THERE IS HOPE!!!!!

There was more open water in front of the house when I got home. I think it will be gone in another 10 days.

Sitting on our boat,

laughing and smiling while afloat,

Drifting with our favorite music playing along

the summer breeze and sunsets keep us feeling strong !

I hope summer temps arrive soon

WOW Pittsburgh, that's opening up pretty quick now.  Shouldn't be too long

Great looking Pittsburg. Haven't been able to see mine yet but that is encouraging

I have to say I too am shocked at the Melt Down.

Hoping that we see 60s routinely in another couple of weeks

It has been a long brutal winter.

I have no idea how those in Alaska handle the snow cold and darkness for so long

SDS and Cabin Fever are real " YIKES"

Keeping the lights on railing for those summer night time cruises on Benny

I think many know I enjoy taking pictures (lol)

Whoever it was who said include photos on my first post

Probably shakes his head to this day (lol)

Here is mine!!!!! Some other sections still have a little but here in my bay (where the boat launch is) is ice free. The water levels have already come up too so things are looking good.

You might want to secure those spindles on your railing asap. That is an accident waiting to happen!!!! Some are even missing. I'd hate for a fun family day at the lake to turn into an accident.

Lakeliving,

The photos of your place are amazing

I am shocked MI is warming faster than Pittsburgh

The Lake here is warming, Thursday Temps to be near 70 F

On the Railing even though the lights are still there it is my spring / summer project

Will be placing new composite floor boards on deck and a new white vinyl railing

I will add additional joists to eliminate the Trex doing any bowing

I hope the weather breaks so I can start the project and finish it before boating season starts.

Here is an updated view of The Lake in front of my dock

The ice is gone and we have been at full pool since January due to heavy snow

Just so I don't put a negative vibe in all your recent " Oh look the ice is melting!!" posts, I'll refrain from posting pics of MY lake! hahaha

I am glad to see the pics of your Lake

Gives us hope here that the Melt down is real

Can't wait to have the mild temps daily

Was on The LSV (Golf Cart) to take pics of Dam

Wind Chill Factor was 36F

Too Cold

Bulldog, I am in the same boat.  I went up last Friday and NO open water, quite disappointing
