Has anyone used Sea Dek on their pontoon? Seems like a much cheaper way to get that "teak" look to the swim deck. http://www.seadek.com/c-57-faux-teak-material.aspx

It is actually a rubber mat that they cut for you by CNC and the back peels off and you stick it down.

Just curious if it looks pretty good, or like a cheap fake rubber mat...

I'm guessing if it's a Benny, stay away from peel n stick upgrades ......

Actually does look like nice stuff, but I think it would be a toe stubber / trip hazard.

I see from your link that you can request samples, might be worth a look

I have played with the sea deck stuff. It's a good and less expensive alturnitive to other faux teaks. Some wake boat are comming with sea deck as a flooring option. It's pretty soft stuff. Like link says you can order samples.

Yeah, after checking out their site, I may get a price on a section for my RLi swim ladder platform. It does look like nice stuff. It's pricey, but then again, we do own Benny's, so price is not a big concern, quality is where it's at !!!

Thanks Gee. I was hoping someone here had actually seen the stuff before I go though the trouble of getting samples. I will now.

My last pontoon had carpet so I just figured that I should do that again, but in hindsight I wish I would have gotten full vinyl with snap down carpet. I also would have like the faux teak rear deck had it been available, but it wasn't an option for my GCW. I would love to dress it up with teak throughout as soon as my carpet wears out. It will be a lot easier to clean and more importantly, dry off.

I've been looking at these two options:

The nue teak and plasti deck are VERY different variations of faux teak then sea deck.

Sea deck is a foam/ rubber feeling soft flooring option. It's very flexible and as you can see from the pictures in the Sea Deck website it looks great. One of the down sides of the sea deck is that it's softer and can gouge. But one to the up sides of the sea deck is it seems they make the kits in smaller sections so if you damage a section you can just replace that section. Because the sea deck is a large mat material I'm guessing it's cheaper. Nue teak is a toung and grove material the needs to be built strip by strip and the glued down. I did some tests of the different faux teaks. I have plasti deck on the back of my qcw and in the hot sun the stuff is Crazy hot. Burn your feet hot. I tried the Nue teak and other material called Yatch Deck and both we crazy hot. So hot that I would never do the entire foor of my boat. Illpost a pic of the side by Side heat test
