She Finally Arrived At The Dealers!!

Finally got to go and see her at the dealership!!  They had JUST started on her, but WOW, came out much better than we had even dreamed!!!  Shooting for Friday for Delivery!!

Yeah us too!  He had to hold that console up for me to take a picture! LOL.  Also the double bimini has to be installed also, I thought that was interesting!
 
Nice looking boat, The red really pops with the black.. Also looks like the bimini is black. May be you should buy red tops this winter and put them on next spring. Then you'd have a different boat next year! Enjoy the new smell this summer.
 
Soooo since I cant sleep right now, we are picking up the boat at 3pm tomorrow... errr today since it is past midnight lol.  I decided to hop online for a bit and noticed I had an email!  It is from our dealer!  Apparently Bennington has forgotten to install the power steering.  We have the hydraulic and the power can be added at a later date, we were charged for it so it wouldn't be any extra.  So I guess I'm wondering how much of a difference is there between the hydraulic and power steering?  We are thinking of maybe saying just forget it and get refunded for it.  If there is that much of a difference we will have them do it, just  not sure when yet.

No. Get it installed.
 
The power steering is supposed to be awesome.  I don't have it with my 200, but I can honestly say I don't feel like I'm missing anything either. Good luck with your choice and nice boat!  It looks great.  I get to pick mine up again today at noon!  (I had to take it back in Monday so they could add all the accessories.)  Nothing like getting the same new boat two weeks in a row and they also cleaned from our first excursions!  Enjoy your new pontoon!
 
Best way is to try it as it is and see if it works for you.  I would think a lot would depend on how you use your boat.  If you are going to tow kids or ski and want to make a lot of sharp turns then you would want the power steering.


However since it is money already spent, get it

+1 Try it. Tell the dealer no decision until you go through break in on the motor. Then run the boat through the motions that you expect you'll be doing with the boat.
 
Thanks for the input guys.  I went through and read the thread hydraulic vs power steering, looks like we will want it installed!  Will talk to the dealer when we pick it up and see how big/long of a project it will be.  Maybe we can have it done after the fourth if its not a huge job or they need the parts to do it.

Ok, so we picked up the boat today (LOTS of pics incoming!!) and the first thing out of our dealers mouth was, you have full power steering!! Normally the pump in under the console and when we didn't see it, we thought it wasn't installed.  Long story short they found it under the starboard seat in front of the console and no one thought to look there!  So everything is there, installed and good!  
 
OK, now for the pics!!  Let me tell you, from launch and even now sitting here at home, still have a smile from ear to ear!!  :D   It is more than we ever thought it would be!!  Compared to our old boat, no comparison at ALL!  Power steering really is a MUST HAVE!  The ride difference going from a 2 toon setup to a SPS package with underdeck wave shield is just AMAZING!! We got her home, grabbed the 303, did all the seats, loaded her up and headed to the boat landing!  It was an amazing evening cruise and tons of wildlife out!  Not many people out either so we had a lot of fun playing with our new baby!!
