It's like starting with a blank canvas. Decals removed and glue residue is next......../monthly_2017_04/large.image.jpeg.fb074c27eb2d7a95a32c045d6227a38a.jpeg /monthly_2017_04/large.image.jpeg.76d3c5540c850111485dbdfa016133b3.jpeg/monthly_2017_04/large.image.jpeg.b933b07f549b43285be0639ac3899988.jpeg/monthly_2017_04/large.image.jpeg.2b5d71dc03b4f9928c6ec6a6efab5a5c.jpeg/monthly_2017_04/large.image.jpeg.5e165984b9ae9032169ef360c64bd2d0.jpeg/monthly_2017_04/large.image.jpeg.408dc4e27a47dc48647da27bdb8e9cfe.jpeg

BK,

Anxiously following this!  Please post all the details (what you used to remove glue, stains, etc.)

Do you have any samples of artwork that you'll be using?

Who are you sourcing your artwork from?

Are you prepping the fence with anything prior to installing the wrap?

Are you planning on re-using any of the Bennington chrome lettering?

Thanks!

First of all I'm not doing it! Ha! A local company called Treefrog is.

We actually went pretty conservative as far as wrap design is concerned. We went with a black on burgundy/wine color scheme. Very similar to what the new boats look like. When we first decided to do it all kind of ideas went through my mind..........A Hawaiian beach scene, palm trees, pineapples, leis, very colorful, You'd be able to see us from miles away! But my wife shocked me back to reality. We're not going to have this boat forever. Who knows if anybody would buy something so colorful and loud! I would have loved to have done it but..........We scrapped that idea. (Love your preliminary design)

My boat is a 2004 so chrome Bennington letters weren't invented yet! Ha! But Bennington and its logo will be incorporated somewhere.......

What's the anticipated time to completion, and what is the wrap material that they're using?

I was kinda worried about the design being too outlandish and resale impact too, but said "Screw it! I only live once". I figure I'll peel it off if it becomes a deal breaker.

Do you have any "dock war" dings to the fence?  I've got a couple and am counting on the wrap to hide them.  Also, since my original color is "banana boat yellow" (ok, I don't think that's what Bennington called it), I want to keep the wrap color close to the original for when Dock War II comes along and nicks the vinyl.  :D

Treefrog had one person removing the decals/glue. One person prepping the surface for application of the product and the owner was printing the design when I was at the shop this morning. It might possibly be completed by Wednesday afternoon but I told them to take their time .......no rush!

I've got one ding to the fence in the portside rear. It was pushed out but you can tell somethings there. I'm not worried about it.

What is the time frame for your wrap design?!?

Looking to finalize it this week.

Good Luck BK, looking forward to seeing it as well

I'm interested to see how this goes as well. I thought about adding the accent stripe to mine to modernize it.

Yeah, a 2014 is pretty old and needs updating :p

You're right.....probably should just buy a whole new boat!

Looking forward to seeing your "new" boat BK!!

Well???????

It came out pretty good! My wife thought that it was a bit dark at first but once we got it outside it all came together. We added the Bennington logo to the front door after these pics were taken. Couldn't take any outside pics because it rained on the way home......./monthly_2017_04/large.image.jpeg.353150c8fc1ad39cc30f94eb6fc503ed.jpeg/monthly_2017_04/large.image.jpeg.4270686bd7896d89fd1f7c4e03d62366.jpeg/monthly_2017_04/large.image.jpeg.7a7ee625fe8d924b9871a915dfab9285.jpeg/monthly_2017_04/large.image.jpeg.824877041943cafc72573ab0555efa50.jpeg/monthly_2017_04/large.image.jpeg.19ee1aa8dda35cbf84d6591bca5dfc45.jpeg/monthly_2017_04/large.image.jpeg.1d2af9eb92c565a9ee593aa5779c46cd.jpeg/monthly_2017_04/large.image.jpeg.a97cfa3b8a4df0ed429661a289326b12.jpeg/monthly_2017_04/large.image.jpeg.41bdf46d3d13994a8a5d9a7efe89da70.jpeg/monthly_2017_04/large.image.jpeg.5546ef1e5b662b7b8c45813742aa304a.jpeg/monthly_2017_04/large.image.jpeg.7416a3293e0191743b2838ced1adf357.jpeg/monthly_2017_04/large.image.jpeg.a5693b14242aff26ccd7daa963fc40cc.jpeg/monthly_2017_04/large.image.jpeg.e08581e6945a8490275bdc2196cfe0f0.jpeg
