Lift question

We currently have a lift that uses bunks under each toon. We are moving to a new place and our lift company wants to convert the lift that is there to a "center lift". The toons will not be supported at all and it will use a catamaran style of two supports under the base of the boat - essentially the toons will hang and the support is in between each toon and using the floor to lift.....thoughts?

We have bunks and will likely switch to this style when we upgrade. Pros of the center/deck-lift style is that it's self-centering (easier to land), operates in shallower water, and won't mark up your pontoons like the guides on our bunk-style lift do.

You're fine either way.

Agree with all the above. Either type if fine structurally for your pontoon. This has been bantered about over the years too. If you want to peak in on prior posts and conversations on this topics, do a search in the upper right hand corner. All of that said, you will be fine switching to an under the deck style lift.
