My Lowrance HDS5 inch fish finder is mounted in the helm just to right of the steering wheel column.  The steering wheel on my Bennington has fairly wide spokes that prevent a clear view of the FF.   Would this type of wheel work on my toon?  I would use the same size wheel, just the plain thin...

this looks like great fun...

btw, the dealer's price on my setup was competitive with all the online guys i researched... even with sales tax figured in.

Went to my dealer yesterday and ordered my setup...with his advice,  Terranova 80lb, 45 inch shaft, pilot, comes with foot switch too.. 2 interstate batteries for 24 volts, 50 amp circuit breaker, installed for $2,050 all in.  Plus there's an $80 rebate in play from Minn Kota..  set up is pricy...

Any suggestions for a replacement steering wheel?  I upgraded the fish finder from the low end Garmin to a large display Lowrance..the dealer installed it in the same location the Garmin was (console, just right of the steering wheel stem) which makes it impossible to read comfortable because...

I have a new toon with a 70 hp 4 stroke Yamaha... I've only put 7.5 hours on the motor and the gas gauge has barely moved.... is the mileage these motors get really that good?   ha!  Monday morning spelling challenged

What towables do most folks like?  I only have a 70hp on my 20foot so I know we won't go fast, but for a leisurely tow of an adult or young child (teens will probably not even be interested in going slow) what inflatables do you recommend?

I had revived an old thread with question about being too lazy to put the cover on at the marina and would a blue tarp work... well, DW and I went through the playpen cover drill this afternoon.  It took us about 30 minutes to install once we got the hang of it.  Hardest part was stretching...

Resurrected this old thread to ask a tarp question...would a generic blue tarp or a little better quality silver tarp be a problem in putting over the toon?  Would these transfer any color or stain to the toon's vinyl or console?  I am thinking through alternatives to the playpen cover that...

the audience is probably what made me nervous about docking ... kept thinking I was going straight to YouTube thanks for all the welcomes now I need to find a fishing buddy who wants to go when my DW can't and who will help keep me out of trouble....
