Just some guy
just been talking to EZ Loader all day (emailing back and forth) and talking about how the tongue weight is ridiculous on this trailer. I sent them pics and told them that I have to have the boat more forward on the axel to give some added support to the center pontoon. So right now my outside toons are 10.5 inches further in on the bunks and that still leaves a full foot unsupported of the center toon. So the guy says that he took my pics to their engineering department and that I need to move the boat back so that the outside pontoons are flush with the end of the bunks. I told him that I think that is the EASY fix to the tongue weight, but don't really think that having 22.5 inches of the center pontoon/transom with a 500lb motor attached to it UNSUPPORTED is the RIGHT answer. I am quite interested to hear if any other members or especially BENNINGTON have any thoughts or remedies to this. Especially considering that other than LT1GMC, i don't remember anyone having any more support on the center pontoon. Does anyone with ESP have any extra support built into their trailer? Anybody have pics? REALLY hope someone from BENNINGTON could chime in with their thoughts. Thanks!
Oh and if I DID move the boat back to be even with the rear bunks, then the welded on box and transducer for the fish finder are in the way of the ratcheting tie down strap! Then what? Where else could the rear ratcheting straps be mounted?
