I'd use the 2015 F250 Powerstroke for this trip. The platinum is much more comfortable than my F350. 2 wheel/tire spares would be ideal (I'll have 1 for sure.). I did long haul truck driving for awhile so the miles don't scare me
I just have to talk all her into the idea that hauling the...
I know its early in the season but the wife and I were sitting here thinking we should go out to Vegas for a couple days and maybe hit up Lake Havasu. I had the bright idea that we should take the boat (even though mid April may still be early for "boating" hell we take a few trips that early...
We pulled ours a few weeks ago since they are drawing down the lake pretty low to do repairs on the dam and marina pulled the docks earlier this year... Hasn't stopped us from hauling to the lake though. I will get a few more fishing trips in and some fall foliage cruises before we winterize.
Were in a private community with a Lake, but a 17' and 90HP restriction so we have a dock at the marina on Lake Wallenpaupack about 10 min. away. 13 miles long and 52 miles of shore line, makes for a good season.
Port side cleat on the bow, starboard aft cleat if I throw the rear to stay in place. 99.9% of the time just the bow as noone else throws a aft, so I want to stay swinging with them instead of stationary and have them swing into me.
I always get close and come to a stop, let the wind move me around a bit. Get a feel for what the boat is going to do then just pop it in and out of gear just enough to keep control and load or dock. Once you do it a few times its easy.
I didn't get the sharkskin either. I power washed my logs yesterday and they came pretty clean. I will take it out again at the end of the season, power wash and polish. Should be better than new. I didn't want to polish now because I know the season is coming to an end and I wanted to get...
I have the same issue, but as soon as I slow down it takes about 10 seconds to reset it self. My boat is on the trailer in my driveway as I took it out to power wash the logs. I will check it out tomorrow to see if its easily moved. Ill try to grab video or pictures if I can figure something...
I agree, however, the way tidewaters website is worded, they should eat the cost of the parts and pay the dealer labor. Their website states, They ONLY build trailers with brakes on both axles. Either way, looks like the dealer is going to take care of the situation. I stopped by yesterday to...
