Hello, just wondering if anybody has any suggestions regarding a floating water mat to take out at the cabin?
We usually drive the pontoon from lake cabin to Sandy swim area and I have two grandkids, 3+ year olds. Thus we will transporting the mat and storing in shed when not used.
We previously had a 6X9 Lillipad .
The mat was fine , we gave it to our niece and nephew. With a CW boat no good place to keep it on the boat ,plus a pain to transport even in an suv .
Honestly, not a lot of good options unless you have a plenty of room on board. We have a Lillipad and an HO Sports Liquid Oasis, but I can’t imagine hauling either one around, but some folks do.
Search Inflatable Lake Island on Amazon. As noted, the lillie pads are bulky and heavy - especially when wet. They work great in hot climates, as the water is refreshing. If your lake temp is not typically 100 plus degrees - an option might be the inflatable version - there are dozens of different styles and sizes, they even have several that are more like a shallow floating pool that would work in hot climates, some have canopies, ones with built in ladders, dog/person crawl up rams - $150 to $500. KEY - get a quality pump - my OutdoorMaster Shark Pump continues to serve us well - 6th season this year, auto stop, works on ISUPs (and I still carry a backup).
Just get an inflatable raft. We've had both, and now just keep the raft in the belly and an inflator by the batteries. Way more floatation, super easy to keep on the boat, and inflates/deflates in 5 minutes flat. Mission is the company I got mine from - they regularly have sizable sales.
