So after boating in lawless Massachusetts where no one pays attention to anything and jetskis are almost run over daily haha. I decided the circa 1997 Honda Civic horn our boats come with wasn’t cutting it. Hornblasters shocker kit fixed that. Now I can also fill floats etc off the onboard air tank.

Good lord…that “looks” like a serious horn. Any chance you can upload an audio link, or video with audio, when you activate that horn? I am VERY curious what it sounds like now.

had a similar set up on my last qx but mounted them backwards so they would not get water in them. clearly not as loud as forward facing but was afraid the water would damage them...

The OE Bennington horn is an embarrassment for sure!

The decibel rating on them is adequate IMO - over 100db. What is subjective is the tone, which is a "beep" and lacks that low-mid range punch to get your attention.

I recently upgraded the Seadog horn to another 100db electric horn (Marinco) with some actual spine and am much happier now!
