Stainless Aft Rail for Swingback - Where can I get one of these rails?

I dig that retractable rail a lot! Wish it was out in 2020 when I got my boat. For reference, it has telescoping poles that drop under cushion height after disengaging three quick-locks. I may need to look into fabbing something similar up:

I wonder if it would work with my existing Bennington stock cover. I have yet to pick up my new 2024 SXSB, thus not sure have the cover works in the back.

I really love the design of the retractable aft railing option on the SB for 2025. I too wish they would have had that back in…2017 when we got our boat. Nice design improvement!!!

Love the new retractable design and I am sure it will be a big hit.

Unfortunately parts are over $2k plus labor and freight. I was hoping it would be lower for my specific budget but nothing is cheap, especially stainless steel. Might have to look at a cargo net (just kidding).

Love the creative innovation which is why I am on my second Bennington. This will be on my wish list for the next one.

Ouch! We'd love to have that rail, as my daughter really wants to be able to ride back there, but $2k is way overpriced. imo.

Thank you for Sharing!!!! WOWZA I love that. Do you happen to have a picture of the full setup - seems like a bolt on exchange.....

2k was just parts….didn’t include the labor & shipping? Oh dear. Certinaly not a swap job either with our 2017. Our SB aft rail bolts into the side of the framing back there, not the flooring. But, even if it did align…2k would be too much for us for the luxury of “lowering” our SB rail. Now if we were looking at a new boat, depending on option differential price, I’d likely add it on.

Correct, the dealer price I received was over $2k excluding shipping and labor. I would also guess in my state (MN) that sales tax would be additional.

The only place I found is this FB post - I took a screenshot of the video: https://www.facebook.com/sealandboa...a-game-changerwe-have-these/1062755675893042/

One interesting note - it looks like the rail terminates into a raised panel on the port side of the boat. That's a new/different config on swingback boats if I'm viewing it right (the video is cropped so you can't really see the whole thing very well)

Optionality is great, but after having lived with my fixed-height swingback keeper rail the past 5 years I'm not sure I would option for an articulating one today. Part of the reason is I use it to stabilize myself when fishing or watching tubers off the back (basically I can lean my leg into it and gain stability, hands free) but also use it as a mount for my rod holders. And the kids - who aren't the brightest tadpoles in the pond - don't seem to hurt themselves running into it or falling etc.

Would it be nice to take it down every once in a while? Yes of course, but for me at least it would spend more of its time in the up position. If there is a cost associated with this option it might be better spent elsewhere (extra HP? Better chartplotter? Extra tutoring for the kids?)
