With the new Bennington SL21 on its way

I'll be scrapping my other boat for sure

I mean who needs anything more than the SL21 with a Yamaha T60

Dusting the interior was just too much

AND

Don't get me started on mopping the deck

Just too much work for one man  :D

congrats cant wait to see the pics

I had one of those,,,, I could not turn the darn thing. Just saying

Honestly JoeR it wasn't just the turning but getting it on the trailer to the driveway was a nightmare going down the old country road

I had it up for sale asking 250.00 and everyone felt it was too much

So drove it to the scrap yard for 50.00 and bought the new Bennington

You and everyone else can imagine how much happier I will be with the new Benny

Saying goodbye to the old boat is tough but saying hello to the new Benny will be amazing

The gas to pull just one skier around the Lake

Lets just say I was going through that 5 Gallon Can in minutes

You know how it is the first boat you just by whatever you see

When I brought it home I started regretting the purchase immediately

Derrick

I have to tell you

We are loving your boat

Beautiful

Great look

Like you we took the LED Ice Blue Lighting around the seats for mood lighting

Here's hoping the look at night is amazing

LOL Yamaha 20 or Yamaha 250 lol very very nice

Pghpa611, you are going to love the LED lighting, I am having additional LEDs placed on my boat right now

My concern is attracting mosquitoes at night

Chose the Blue LED's over the white thinking that Blue may be less attractive to the bugs

I think the boat being in motion will keep mosquitoes down

Derrick, The only thing I'll say is I bet you'll use more fuel in one weekend than I'll use all season ...... :)

Then again, I'd be willing to trade with you if u like ..... Lol !!!!

Except he only has a season of one weekend so it's a wash!

Yeah, I even let that one go by, I figured he's tired of me beating him up with that one .......

I do feel sorry though for everyone with all the ice right now, our lakes pretty much melted, and hopefully STAYS THAT WAY !!!

Our's just needs to fill up with water.

Good point Tom!

Can't believe anyone is having to wait for the spring rains this year

Our lake level is dropped every October due to the snow and ice conditions.

This year they dropped it even more due to some dredging in the coves

With over 5 feet of snow this winter the lake has been at full capacity.

All we need is warm temps and I'm off to pick up the Bennie from the dealer

The boat has finally arrived and dealer will place in a lake there to acclimate

Looking forward to Mid - April

Just pinned my locale on

Bennington Owners Locator Mapgreat feature to see other near by  Bennie Owners

Haha, well played my friends, well played. In some ways it would be nice to be on a restricted lake, like when I go to the bank for a loan, it would be nice to knock 20G off the top! Plus not having to deal with all the towboat yahoos. Then again, I love speed (I know you do too!!) so it would be hard to give up. There are definitely pros and cons to each, one being the fuel bill you mentioned!! A day on the lake is usually to the tune of $120-$140 for fuel alone, plus another $60-$75 in the Caddy to get her there! Wow, when I put it like that, there might be an unused HPI Savage Flux with all the fixings for sale!! Haha

Derrick,

You didn't break in that HPI yet? I just finished up a Traxxas 1/16 Rally, a Hobbyking 1/10 2wd SCT, and a Hobbyking 1/16 Rally.

Just waiting on rain to stop to mess with them. I can't wait to get on the boat so I stop spending money. Only thing I spend money on during boating season is bait. Man winter's expensive .......

PGHPA611,

Congrats on the new SL21, you'll love the Bennington!

Good choice on the Sharkhide, it will keep the whole boat looking new for years.

By the way, you take some amazing pictures!

Weatherman says it will be 67 degrees here tomorrow... it's been a long winter and we still have a three foot sheet of ice on the lake. Hope to get the new one out of the shed tomorrow and snap some pictures.

Thank you Big Block,

This forum has been an amazing wealth of information for me

After seeing your toon photos which look more like chrome than aluminum

The SharkHide is  imperative in my opinion

What better time to apply it than day one at the dealers show room

I am a stickler about maintaining the things I own

On the photos lol well I love taking pics

And of course with retirement I have all the time in the world to do so

Wish I would of retired at 40 lol

It really shocks me how many people work when they dont have to

For me life is about enjoyment

Snow here tonight 61 Monday
