Vinyl Floor turning tan/ orange

I drop mine off at the local dealer next week for my floor replacement. I was told to expect the boat being away for a month.

That's not bad timing . Is it going back to Indiana?

I think it is going to the Carolina’s. I’m indifferent to where it gets fixed as long as it comes back right.

Did I miss something? Why have to go to Carolinas instead of locally

Warranty. For some reason the boats go up to the Carolina’s for decking and floor replacement from what I was told.

I bet that it will be great to finally get that taken care of.

What are you going to do in its absence? Do you need intervention support to cope with it being gone for a month? ;)

I’ll keep busy! I recently got my old dune buggy sorted out and back on the road so that will keep me busy. Taking it to its first car show this Saturday.

Andy , did you get an email from Bennington in regards to the discount on SX and L models ?

Negative. I’m not actively looking for a new boat just yet. Next boat will allow for offshore adventures.

The vinyl flooring on my 2016 Bennington is turning tan to orange in spots. This will not come off. There are multiple places this is happening. There has been no abuse or anything spilled on the floor.
Is this a problem that the warranty would cover? what should I do?View attachment 23337
that is one of the areas on my Bennington that has stained and the other area is the center location of the floor. it almost covers the entire area.

I just got mine out of storage and see this on the back deck. there was a hint of something last year, but now...
Any update on the others that have similar issues?

Yes we have the same problem all over our 2016 Bennington. we are going to reach out to the dealer and see for warranty and replacement.

Unfortunately your 2016 had a 7 year warranty, so I believe it would have come to an end on your intake month/day in 2023. The 2017’s also came with a 7 year warranty at purchase, but could be extended an additional 3 years as part of a Bennington promotion with membership in the forum. The full 10 year warranty at purchase began in 2018.

By any chance, is your boat in stacked storage? If yes, look up and see if your neighbor upstairs is dripping on your deck. Very common problem with stacked storage down here in Florida. Gas, oil and saltwater drips. That stain almost looks like rust water stain.

Definitely the bad glue period. Same with my 2016 - warranty would not cover - said was due to neglect. (I purchased in March 2023 as 3rd owner so warranty would not transfer last few months). Second owner did leave the boat out in Miami heat so I agree with neglect.

Just an uneducated guess, but that looks like it was caused by people using the boarding ladder
that are coated in bug repellent. If you read the warning label on products with DEET, it says it can damage some types of plastic furniture.
we never use our ladder or even step on those parts of the boat

our boat is not stacked and it sits completely covered by the dealership for the entire winter
