Winter has arrived in Northern Michigan

We got about 4-5 inches ( so far ) Parts of the U.P are close to 4 ft

Friend of mine just came from down state for deer hunting .

Normal 3 hr drive took him 5 .

We have just over an acre ,lots of state land in the area

I have no poles up on my new barns. I am planning to store my Bennie in one of them for the winter. Hmm......

Got another 6 overnight .

We lost all of our snow (about 8 inches) over the weekend and the frozen lake completely thawed. Then last nite we got another 4 inches of wet snow, but the lake hasn't refrozen. Picture is our driveway today.

Expecting 8 to 16" today, less than a week ago it was 95 degrees on my vacation, this sucks!!!

Doesn't look like we'll have a white Christmas here in Mid Michigan. I'm not complaining...

We are white already .Nothing like last year,4-5 inches  on the ground now ,about 40 for the season ( so far )

most of our snow has melted, the lawn has plenty of bare spots but there is some snow still on the ground

Winter is officially here today .and the days start getting longer this week .  .Wont be long now .
