Jack, In all my years I have never had an insurance claim on my house or boats. I did have an accident a number of years ago in my car but the other driver was ticketed and his insurance paid for everything. My question is; Once you submit a claim does your premium go up?I remembered a previous post about replacing a cowling .I am thinking about $1500.00 ,for it . Plus what ever is causing the vibration .Insurance was good last year when they replaced the port side pontoon. Feel like an a** having to call them 2 years in a row because of some moron (****** ******) .

If the owner of the Sea Ray lies and just says he did not do it what happens then?
Hey... I have a 23' boat with a 250 VMax... What are you trying to say?!... I GUESS I SHOULD SAY HAD... Reality is sinking in...I'll post more in a new thread.Jack, your insurance company needs to subrogate against the SeaRay owner/their insurance in the event they pay a claim. I don't see how they would not be liable for the damage caused to your boat. Most homeowners policies automatically provide liability coverage so if you have their name maybe you can track it down that way. This would also circumvent any finger pointing at who was operating the boat as it wouldn't matter. Such and such ins co provides liability coverage for damage caused by boat, said boat damages another, case closed. Does your marina require you to provide proof of insurance when you sign for a slip? I would think the marina would in the event some yahoo hits the pier, dock etc and causes damage. I feel so bad for you. But you said the camera doesn't show your slips.......time for a little revenge! Apparently all you have to do is deny it afterwards and you'll be fine. Based on the owner not knowing where or who has his boat sounds like a perfect opportunity. The searay owner is probably 4'5" and is compensating for something.

He sold his boat Mark.
This may work on the 4thSounds like a perfect application for a cordless drill and a long 1 inch bit. Throw it in his boat when you are done. When they raise his boat off the bottom of the lake just say it's not your drill and you have no idea how it got there.
Sorry to hear the outcome so far Jack. Take lots of pics if you haven't. Never know when they'll come in handy...
